Submission of Proposals

  • The last date of submission of entry is 20-Jan-2021
  • The right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, suspend this competition and to modify the rules, prizes & funding related to the contest without prior notice resides in its entirety with the organizing committee. The organizing committee will not be held be liable for any claims, losses, malfunctions, expenses or damages, arising out participation in this competition.
  • All participants will submit self sufficient, self explanatory proposals with essential supporting materials provided as uploads for an informed and fair evaluation/review. Once submitted, there can be no changes made to the proposal.
  • By submission of proposals for the competition, all participants guarantee that to the best of their knowledge, their submission is original and does not violate any Trade Secret, Know-how , patent, copyright or any other form of intellectual property of any third party. Participants also guarantee that there are no legal, financial or ethical objections, which would prohibit, restrict, or interfere with their participation in the competition and agree to obtain and report any and all required clearances, authorizations and/or approvals prior to participation.
  • The submitted proposals along with any and all supporting documents will be shared by the organizing committee with the evaluators and participants should not have any objections to it. If there are certain facts that the participants do not wish to be shared, they should not be included in the proposal.
  • By entering the competition, each participant agrees to release the organizing committee from and against any losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind arising from 
    • an exclusion or disqualification of such participant pursuant to these rules; 
    • late or unsuccessful efforts to notify winners of any prize; 
    • forfeiture of a prize and the selection of an alternate winner; 
    • late, lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, illegible or unintelligible entries;
    • telephone, electronic, hardware or software program, network, Internet, or computer malfunctions, failures or difficulties of any kind;
    • failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions;
    • any condition caused by events beyond the control of the organising committee that may cause the competition to be disrupted; and
    • any injuries, losses or damages of any kind relating to participation in this Contest.

Evaluation

  • The evaluation will be carried out by the evaluators from suitable fields chosen by the organizing committee on the basis of predetermined criteria, decided by the organizing committee. The online proposals will be evaluated in the first round to ascertain their suitability for further rounds. Extra evaluation round may take place if deemed necessary by the evaluation committee.
  • The participants agree to appear with their presentation materials (if instructed) on the date and time specified by the organizing committee for evaluations purpose, failing which their participation will stand forfeited.
  • The evaluation criteria is based on parameters including but not limited to, relevance of the idea with Indian culture and ethos, novelty of the idea, aesthetics, affordability, clarity and details, ease of manufacture, practicability, sustainability, the scale of impact, age appropriateness, user engagement, user safety and potential for future work progression.
  • The organizing committee holds the rights to create, change or modify any of the evaluation criteria, without any prior notice to the participants.
  • The selection or rejection of any idea, the extent and number of evaluations will be the sole discretion of the evaluators appointed by the organizing committee. In case of a dispute, the participants may register a petition to the organizing committee, in which case, the final and binding decision will be that of the members of the organizing committee.
  • Participants should note, that the organizing committee does not claim ownership of any of the ideas, designs or procedures submitted for the competition. All rights and privileges for the proposed innovation along with any Intellectual Property Rights shall remain with the participants. However, it shall be the right of the organizing committee to publish the names of the toys, brief description and names of the innovators/ creators and their contact information.
  • The winners of the competition will receive help and guidance, if they desire, to claim the intellectual property rights, if necessary.
  • The results of the evaluations will be communicated to the participants through appropriate channels as decided by the organizing committee.
